Peter Patton Shooting Clinics
Who is Peter Patton
Peter Patton is in his 5th season as the Maverick’s Shooting Coach. After spending the previous two seasons working in the same capacity for the Minnesota Timberwolves, he joined Dallas.
Patton has been teaching basketball for over 20 years, including learning the craft of shooting under San Antonio Spurs Assistant Coach Chip Engelland. Patton never missed a game in college and set the DePaul single-season three-point percentage record as a junior (54.1%), a mark that still stands. He is also in the top ten in DePaul history for both steals, and career three-pointers made, as wellas 11th in assists.
Focus of Shooting Clinics
Peter Patton shooting clinics are intensive training sessions designed to
help basketball players improve their shooting skills. The clinics focus on a variety of shooting fundamentals, including proper footwork, hand placement, and shooting form. In addition to technical skills, the clinics may also emphasize the mental aspect of shooting, such as visualization and focus.
When Do Clinics Happen
Small Group and individual sessions happen during the summer months and during the NBA All-Star Game weekend.
